The Calicut University Four Year Bachelor of Social Work (B.S.W.) programme equips the students to practice the exciting and challenging profession of social work. The BSW programme aims at imparting the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for working as competent social workers in a wide range of fields of social welfare and well being. The curriculum is designed to help the students to acquire these through a combination of theoretical inputs and practice opportunities spreading over eight semesters.
The curriculum provides abundant prospects for acquiring scientific knowledge regarding theories and perspectives for social work, tools and techniques to help people, organisations and communities to deal with life challenges and a very strong value base.
