Learning Outcomes

The Department of Physical Education plays a pivotal role in promoting holistic development through sports, fitness and recreational activities. Although it does not offer academic programmes, it provides all students with opportunities to engage in physical activities at the college, university and state levels. Through active participation, students will be able to:

  • Enhance Physical Fitness: Improve overall health, endurance, strength, coordination and flexibility through structured physical activities and training sessions.
  • Develop Team Spirit and Leadership: Cultivate teamwork, cooperation and leadership skills by participating in team sports and organizing events.
  • Demonstrate Sportsmanship: Exhibit discipline, resilience, fairness and respect for rules and opponents in both competitive and non-competitive environments.
  • Manage Stress and Promote Well-being: Experience the physical and psychological benefits of regular exercise, contributing to better mental health and emotional balance.
  • Participate in Competitive Sports: Represent the college in intercollegiate, university and state-level tournaments, gaining exposure and experience in professional sports settings.
  • Foster Lifelong Fitness Habits: Develop a positive attitude towards health and physical activity that encourages lifelong wellness and fitness practices.
