The Department of Economics was started at SVPK Arts and Science College, Palemad in 2012. It is one of the active and energetic departments of our college. Currently, there are three qualified and very dedicated teachers in this department. The teachers have more than three years of teaching experience. The department has 95 students, and about 310 students have graduated.
The departmental library has a total of 215 books, journals and other reports. The department thrives in reaching standards of excellence in teaching, learning and research. The department is in the forefront in organising seminars on topics of contemporary relevance within the constraints of the department.
