The Department of Physics, established in 2003 with the B.Sc. Physics programme is one of the prominent departments of SVPK Arts and Science College. The department has continuously maintained a praiseworthy record of graduate and postgraduate teaching in Physics. The department maintains a well-equipped B.Sc. & M.Sc. laboratory, and frequently organizes seminars, workshops and special lectures for students and faculty.
The B.Sc. Physics programme aims to build a solid understanding of fundamental physical principles while fostering analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. It equips students with the necessary tools to pursue higher studies, research or careers in science and technology.
Started in 2012, the M.Sc. Physics programme offers in-depth knowledge in classical and modern physics, with specialised training in areas such as quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, condensed matter physics and nuclear physics. Emphasising research and innovation, the programme prepares students for doctoral studies, academic careers and scientific industries.
