Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the BSc Psychology Honours programme, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate Foundational Knowledge: Understand key concepts, theories and principles across various branches of psychology including cognitive, developmental, social, abnormal and biological psychology.
  • Apply Psychological Principles: Use psychological knowledge to analyse behaviour, mental processes and social dynamics in real-life contexts.
  • Develop Research Skills: Design, conduct and interpret psychological research using appropriate methodologies, statistical tools and ethical guidelines.
  • Enhance Critical Thinking: Evaluate psychological issues, assess evidence and formulate well-reasoned conclusions through scientific reasoning and reflective judgment.
  • Strengthen Communication Abilities: Communicate psychological ideas effectively through oral presentations, academic writing and interpersonal interactions.
  • Practice Ethical Responsibility: Demonstrate sensitivity to ethical, cultural and social issues in psychological research and practice.
  • Build Professional Competence: Acquire practical skills through internships, fieldwork and lab-based experiences, preparing for careers or further studies in psychology and related disciplines.
