Established in 2015, the Department of Sociology offers its students teachings on multiple areas of Sociology including religion, politics, economy, family and kinship through applied, skill-based and elective courses prescribed by the University.
Through a dynamic and interdisciplinary curriculum, the department encourages critical thinking, ethical reflection and active engagement with real-world challenges. Students gain insights into key themes such as social stratification, gender, caste, globalisation, migration, development and identity, preparing them to become thoughtful citizens and change-makers.
We have in place well-designed curricula comprising texts and books by eminent sociologists to help our students learn topics on Sociology better. The department emphasizes on interactive learning among students and with its highly qualified and skilled faculty, our college is the preferred destination for students to pursue B.A. Sociology.
