BCom Co-operation Honours
The B.Com Co-operation (Honours) aims to build strong commerce fundamentals with specialized knowledge in the dynamic co-operative sector, focusing on principles, governance, financial aspects and the socio-economic role, preparing graduates for leadership in co-operative societies, banking and related fields through core subjects like Co-operative Theory, Legal Frameworks for Co-operatives and Co-operative Management, alongside general business studies. Key areas include understanding co-operative philosophy, legal structures, management practices (administration, finance) and practical applications in banking, production and services, developing skills for analysis, problem-solving and effective business management.
Program Goals: Builds strong foundation; develops managerial skills; equips students with analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills for the co-operative sector; fosters employability; prepares graduates for diverse roles in co-operatives, finance and other business environments; promotes social responsibility; cultivates financially sound and socially accountable citizens with an understanding of co-operation’s societal role.
